Want to hone your organic gardening skills? Join farmer Erin and learn the basics of organic and biological gardening through lecture, discussion and a tour of our certified organic farm as it is prepared for the beginning of the growing season. This workshop will be held outside at our farm at 77 Bridge Street, West Newbury. Wear warm cloths and shoes that can get muddy.The workshop is Saturday April 6 1PM-3:30PM, with a rain date of Sunday April 7. Topics include: Preparing your garden plan Creating vibrant soil life and why this is essential for healthy plantsgold beets lettuce Soil fertility inputs Preparing Inoculants from local plants Preparing Beds for Planting Plant spacing and growing requirements for different vegetables Companion planting Irrigation options for the small garden Weed and pest prevention Good record keeping

The cost for this workshop is preregistered (24 hours before the workshop) $20 and $22 drop in. New Harmony Farm shareholders have a 25% discount at preregisted $15.00 and $17 drop in.
